FAME Church Relocates and 312 Azusa Street Become Vacant

Stevens African Methodist Episcopal Church completes and dedicates a new building at 8th and Towne in Los Angeles, California. The congregation changes its name to First African Methodist Episcopal Church (FAME) and moves into their newly constructed sanctuary. This leaves the property at 312 Azusa Street vacant.
